Generalissimus of the Soviet Union (Russian: Генералиссимус Советского Союза, tr. Generalissimus Sovetskogo Soyuza) was the highest military rank in the Soviet Union, created after World War II for Joseph Stalin and awarded to him on 27 June 1945.
