العربية: يعتبر عمود السواري من أشهر المعالم الأثرية في الإسكندرية. أقيم فوق تل باب سدرة بين منطقة مدافن المسلمين الحالية والمعروفة باسم مدافن العمود وبين هضبة كوم الشقافة الأثرية. ويصل طوله إلى حوالي 27 مترا ومصنوع من حجر الغرانيت الأحمر. أقيم تخليدا للإمبراطور دقلديانوس في القرن الثالث الميلادي. وهو آخر الاثار الباقية من معبد السيرابيوم الذي أقامه بوستوموس.ويعتبر أعلى نصب تذكاري في العالم. لم يتم تحديد تاريخ إنشاء هذا العمود على وجه الدقة لكنه يعود للعصر الروماني، وقيل أن هذا العمود أهدي للمسيحية بعد انتصارها في الإسكندرية .
التسمية English: Sawary column is one of the most famous monuments in Alexandria. It was built on Tall Bab Sidra between the current Muslim tombs area known as Al-Amud Tombs and Kom Al-Shaqafa Archaeological Plateau. It is about 27 meters long and is made of red granite stone. It was erected in memory of Emperor Diocletianus in the third century AD. It is the last surviving monument from the Temple of Serapium established by Bustomos. It is considered the highest monument in the world. The exact date of this column was not determined, but it dates back to the Roman era, and it was said that this column was dedicated to Christianity after its victory in Alexandria. The name |
