Born 8 June 1891 in Forbes New South Wales, Edmund moved to Queensland and became a grazier at Taroom around 1921. He was a member for the Legislative Assembly for Rosewood from 1929 - 1932 and later West Moreton from 1932 - 1949. In Federal politics he was a Federal Senator from 1950 - 1965, Leader of the Country Party and Leader of the Opposition 1936 - 1941. |
