Deutsch: Das Schloss Heerbrugg in CH-9436 Balgach, gilt zweifellos als Ursprung von Heerbrugg. Anscheinend bestand bereits zu Römerzeiten ein Kastell, auf deren Grundmauern im Jahre 1077 die Feste "Herburch" erbaut wurde, welche aber später abbrannte. Das bestehende Schloss ohne Turm stammt etwa aus dem Jahre 1775. Bis 1796 bestand Heerbrugg lediglich aus dem Schloss mit drei Häusern. Die Ebene war gänzlich unbewohnt. Quelle: [1] Die Geschichte vom Schloss Heerbrugg ist auch verknüpft mit der Geschichte der Unternehmerdynastie Schmidheiny. Die Geschichte der erfolgreichen Familie beginnt mit dem Kauf des Schlosses durch Jacob Schmidheiny I. im Jahre 1867. Bis zum 31.12.2004 war das Schloss im Besitze der Familie Schmidheiny. |
