DescriptionMap delineating The Saint Brandon Marine Protected Area (Cargados Carajos) by the World Bank in 1998.jpg |
English: A Map delineating The Saint Brandon Marine Protected Area (Cargados Carajos) by the World Bank in 1998. This Map is part of Management Plan for St. Brandon which was produced by the World Bank at the request of the Mauritius Government in February 1997. The World Bank, funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency, produced a Management Plan for Saint Brandon for the creation of the ‘’Marine Protected Area of Saint Brandon’’ based on Australia's Great Barrier Reef Marine Protected Area (MPA). Thirteen of the islands of the World Bank's Recommended Saint Brandon Marine Protected Area were later in 2008 adjudged as a grant to the resident fishing company, Raphael Fishing Company, by the UK's Privy Council, Mauritius' Highest Appellate Court. |
