Summary
DescriptionFreeze branded horse at St. John's Parade, May 12, 2012.jpg |
English: So one of the things that caught my attention during the St. Johns Parade was horses with these brands on their neck. Apparently, there are wild horses in the US. Apparently, they get freeze branded (which apparently is painless– or relatively painless – compared to traditional branding). And, apparently a certain percentage of these horses are rescued (from what, I don’t know) and end up being adopted and cared for by people. And apparently there are clubs of these people – which is what was marching in the parade.Even though I know next to nothing about this whole thing, this caught me as being very touching. |
