Summary
DescriptionCroix de guerre 1914-1918 (Belgium) at Arlington National Cemetery on April 5, 2023 (cropped).jpg |
English: A Croix de Guerre Belgian medal, recently re-ribboned, in the Memorial Amphitheater Display Room at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, Va., April 5, 2023. The medal was originally presented to the WWI Unknown Soldier and its ribbon had faded from age. Belgian Chief of Defence Adm. Michel Hofman had requested that the ribbon be replaced on this medal, as well as the WWII and Korean War medals. This was accomplished by The Old Guard in coordination with ANC Historians.
