English: Insignia of U.S. Navy Attack Squadron 104 (VA-104) "Hell's Archers", active 1952 to 1959. There is no record of official approval for the squadron insignia by the United States Navy Chief of Naval Operations. The insignia on file at the U.S. Navy Naval History and Heritage Command for the squadron is a missile being shot by a long bow with an atomic explosion in the background. Colours for this insignia were: a light blue background out- lined in yellow; the water was medium blue and the atomic explosion was white with shades of light and medium blue; the long bow was red with a black bow string; the missile had a black body, yellow fins outlined in black, and a red tipped nose. |
