English: This photograph was taken in the forest of Compiègne after reaching an agreement for the armistice that ended World War I. This railcar was given to Ferdinand Foch for military use by the manufacturer, Compagnie Internationale des Wagons-Lits. Foch is second from the right. Français : Cette photographie est prise dans la forêt de Compiègne, au pied du wagon-salon du train de Foch où vient d'être signé l'armistice. Ce wagon fut réquisitionné auprès de la Compagnie internationale des wagons-lits afin d'être affecté au train de l'état-major. Le maréchal Foch est au premier plan, second sur la droite, entouré par les deux amiraux britanniques Hope et Wemyss. |
