English: Adolph Sterne House, Nacogdoches, Texas, USA. Sterne (1801–1852) was the first American Mayor of the town and a personal friend of Sam Houston. Sam Houston was baptized here in this house a Catholic, in order to be able to buy land in still Mexican Texas. Davy Crocket stayed here with the Sterne Family in 1835. The house serves as a museum. |
