PT Pelindo Multi Terminal (SPMT) is a sub holding of Pelindo, a State Owned Enterprise of Indonesia, which provides operational service of non-container seaport in Indonesia[2]. SPMT is part of the merger process of Pelindo I, II, III, & IV into single entity of Pelindo in 2021, operating 32 sea ports in 21 Province in Indonesia[1] .

SPMT is one of the four initial sub holdings of Pelindo that effectively operated per 1 January 2022. The forming of these four sub holdings also intended to manage the core business of Pelindo[3].
Throughout 2022 SPMT expands its operational area in Indonesia through a series of port takeover from Pelindo; Port of Dumai in January[4], Port of Tanjung Intan and Port of Belawan in February[5], Port of Tanjung Wangi, Port of Bumiharjo, and Port of Bagendang in March [6], also Terminal Jamrud Nilam Mirah of Port of Tanjung Perak, Port of Makassar, Port of Balikpapan, and Port of Trisakti & Mekar Putih in April 2022[7].
In 2023 SPMT continues its operational expansion by further adding 7 seaports under its management at 1 August 2022; Port of Malahayati, Port of Lhokseumawe, Port of Tanjung Emas, Port of Pelabuhan Gresik, Port of Parepare-Garongkong, Port of Benoa, and Port of Lembar-Badas[8].
SPMT executes a series of port transformation program in all of its operated ports based on six aspects; business process, Human Capital, technology, equipment, infrastructure dan HSSE[9]. Until 2023, SPMT has been successfully transformed 24 ports [10].
SPMT conducts HSSE awareness campaign for port workers and also adding more safety features into the port SPMT operates on[11][12][13][14]. SPMT also introducing safety awareness for young generation[15].
SPMT has carried out a number of social activities or social and environmental responsibility (TJSL) or corporate social responsibility (CSR), focusing especially on preserving green coastal environment as in mangrove reforestation in Belawan, North Sumatera [16], Seruyan, Central Borneo[17], and Lamongan, East Java[18]. SPMT also actively increasing green areas in their port complexes; in Port of Tanjung Wangi[19], Port of Bagendang [20], and also in Port of Belawan[21]. Developing and empowering coastal communities through trainings and youth programs also became one of main focus of SPMT CSR program[22] [23][24]
