The ÖBB 5145, nicknamed Blauer Blitz, is an Austrian layout diesel locomotive. It was manufactured by Simmering-Graz-Pauker between 1952 and 1957. A total of 12 were built for ÖBB, and 4 for export. The export failed, so ÖBB took over these as well.

Motor trains were used to serve international and domestic express routes, primarily between Vienna and Venice, then Vienna and Berlin. As more and more main lines were electrified, motor cars were increasingly pushed to domestic routes, last in the 1990s to Weinviertel, Lower Austria. In 1997, the last one was withdrawn from circulation.
Several vehicles have been preserved for museum use, and they can be rented for any special train trip. They are also regular guests in Hungary as nostalgia trains.
