Cylichnidae, common name the "chalice bubble snails" or "canoe bubble snails" is a family of sea snails or bubble snails, marine gastropod mollusks in the superfamily Cylichnoidea.[1]

This family has been classified within the clade Cephalaspidea, itself belonging to the informal group Opisthobranchia (according to the taxonomy of the Gastropoda by Bouchet & Rocroi, 2005). The family Cylichnidae has no subfamilies (according to the taxonomy of the Gastropoda by Bouchet & Rocroi, 2005). Synonyms of Cylichnidae has included: Scaphandridae G. O. Sars, 1878; Tornatinidae P. Fischer, 1883; Acteocinidae Dall, 1913 and Triclidae Winckworth, 1932.[2]
Malaquias et al. (2009)[3] have reinstated Scaphandridae as a valid family.
