Italian supercentenarians are citizens, residents or emigrants from Italy who have attained or surpassed 110 years of age. As of January 2015[update], the Gerontology Research Group (GRG) had validated the longevity claims of 151 Italian supercentenarians, the majority of whom were women.[1] The oldest Italian ever is Emma Morano, who was also the last living person born before the year 1900.[2] As of 9 July 2024, the oldest living person in Italy is Claudia Baccarini born on 13 October 1910 in Emilia-Romagna, aged 113 years, 270 days.[3]
