Betul is Municipal Council town in Madhya Pradesh, India. It is the administrative head-quarter of Betul district and forms the southernmost part of the Narmadapuram Division.
It derives its present name from a small town called Batul Bazaar about 5 km (3 mi) to its south. The qord Betul —literally mean "without" (be) "cotton" (tool) it was referred for its position outside the area's cottonfields.
