Aslan Duz-e Gharbi Rural District (Persian: دهستان اصلاندوز غربی)[a] is in the Central District of Aslan Duz County, Ardabil province, Iran. Its capital is the village of Gedaylu.[3] The rural district was previously administered from Aslan Duz.[4]
At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population (as Aslan Duz Rural District[b] of the former Aslan Duz District of Parsabad County) was 15,324 in 2,807 households.[5] There were 16,116 inhabitants in 3,848 households at the following census of 2011.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 17,709 in 4,713 households. The most populous of its 54 villages was Aq Qabaq-e Sofla, with 872 people.[2]
In 2017, the district was separated from the county in the establishment of Aslan Duz County. The rural district was transferred to the new Central District and renamed Aslan Duz-e Gharbi Rural District.[3]
