Aliyar is one of the tributaries of the river Kannadipuzha. Kannadipuzha is one of the main tributaries of the river Bharathapuzha, the second-longest river in Kerala, south India. Its source is the aliyar reserve forest in Aliyar near Pollachi in Tamil Nadu
