The 2007–08 season was Olympiacos's 49th consecutive season in the Super League Greece and their 82nd year in existence. The club were played their 11th consecutive season in the UEFA Champions League. Manager Takis Lemonis left the club by mutual consent on 11 March 2008 due to the club's lower-than-expected performance of the team in the Superleague, and was replaced by his assistant, José Segura.[1]
