Hingis and Suková defeated Meredith McGrath and Larisa Neiland in the final, 5–7, 7–5, 6–1 to win the ladies' doubles tennis title at the 1996 Wimbledon Championships.[1] At 15 Years 282 Days, Hingis became the youngest ever grand slam champion. It was the 1st Grand Slam (doubles) title and the 2nd title overall for Hingis, and the 9th and final Grand Slam doubles title and the 64th title overall for Suková, in their respective careers.
