Ľudovít Štúr (Slovak pronunciation: [ˈʎudɔʋiːt ˈʃtuːr]; 28 October 1815 – 12 January 1856), also known as Ľudovít Velislav Štúr,[lower-alpha 1] was a Slovak revolutionary, politician, and writer.
