Apparently, a building constructed by adherents to the Bulgarian Church did not fit Bishop Kantiotis’ aesthetic views, and in this opinion he was supported by the cooperation of the local political administration. The destruction of the Economic High School started at 2:00 am, with no license for demolition. In the place of that building, important in terms of both architecture and its diverse historical and cultural biography, a new school was built, the Third High School of Florina, in a so-called Macedonian architectural style, that is an imitation of the luxurious mansions of Western Macedonia during the 18th and 19th centuries.(на английски)
