El ríu Rin[1][2] (n'alemán, Rhein; en francés, Rhin; en neerlandés, Rijn; en retorrománicu, Rain) ye un ríu européu que naz nel cantón suizu de Graubünden, na fastera suroriental de los Alpes. Fai de llende de Suiza con Austria, Liechtenstein y Alemaña, consecutivamente, y llueu de llende francoalemana, y dempués traviesa la zona d'Alemaña conocida como Rheinland primero de desaguar nel mar del Norte n'Holanda. Ye, dempués del Danubiu, el segundu ríu más grande de la Europa central y occidental: tien una llonxitú d'alredor de 1.230 km, y un caudal mediu de 2.900 m³/seg. Los sos caberos 883 km, dende la ciudá suiza de Basilea hasta la so buraca, son navegables.
