التعقيبة هي النص الذي يكتب في عقب الصفحة، أي أسفلها، لشرح نص في المتن.[1] وقيل التعقيبة أيضا تسمى الرقاص والوصلة وهي أن يثبت الناسخ في نهاية الصفحة تحت آخر كلمة من السطر الأخير أول كلمة في الصفحة الموالية.[2]
