A Cheolochía (d'o griego γηο (geo, "tierra"), y λογος (logos, "palabra, razón") ye a Ciencia que estudía a Tierra, a suya historia y os procesos que l'han formada. Tamién se puede considerar cheolochía o estudio d'atros planetas, anque se gosan emplegar atros terminos mas especializaus: selenolochía (d'a Luna), areolochía (de Marte), ecetra.

O termin cheolochía fue emplegau en primeras por Richard de Bury o 1473, que la emplegaba ta destinguir entre a churisprudencia terrenal y a teolochía. Jean-André de Luc estió o primer en emplegar o termino en o sentiu moderno, en l'anyo 1779.
