ጂብሪል በአረብኛ የገብርኤል (መልዐክ) ስም ሲሆን፣ በእስልምና በጣም ተወዳጅ የአላህ ትልቅ መልዕክተኛ እንዲሁም መንፈስ ቅዱስ እራሱ (አል-ሩሕ አል-ቁድስ) ይቆጠራል።
