ናስ (ነሐስ) የመዳብና የቆርቆሮ (ወይም የዚንክ ወይም የሌላ ብረታብረት አይነት) ውሑድ (ቅልቅል) ነው። ጽኑና ዘላቂ ሆኖ በስው ልጅ ስራዎች አያሌ ጥቅሞች አሉት። በጥንት የታወቀው 'የነሐስ ዘመን' የተሰየመው በዚህ ቅልቅል በመስፋፋቱ ነበር።
