Chang'an (chin. 長安 / 长安, , W.-G. Ch'ang-an) isch e Stadt in China, wo im chinesische Alterdum gründet worde isch. Si het sich ursprünglig fümf Kilometer nordwestlig vom hütige Xi’an befunde, isch aber e baar Mol an andere Blätz nöigründet worde. Chang'an isch d Hauptstadt vo dr Westlige Han-Dünastii gsi und au vo de Xin, Sui und Tang-Dünastie. Under dr Ming-Dünastii het mä iire Naame zu Xi'an gänderet.
650 v. d. Z. het d Stadt scho mee as 33'000 Iiwooner gsäit. Dr erst historisch Kaiser vom veräinte China, dr Qin Shihuangdi († 210 v. d. Z.), het si Mausoleum in dr Nööchi vo dr Stadt baut, wo mä 1974 die berüemti Terrakotta-Armee entdeckt het. Xianyang, d Hauptstadt vo de Qin, isch nid witewägg gsi.
