Die Perskakelaar (Phoeniculus damarensis) is 'n redelike algemene standvoël in droë doringveld en mopanieboomveld; ook langs droë waterlope met groot bome. Die voël is 34 – 40 cm groot en weeg 76 - 94 gram. In Engels staan die voël bekend as Violet Wood-Hoopoe.
