'n Trebuchet is a tipe oorlogwapen wat gebruik word om projektiele soos rotse te slinger. Dit is soortgelyk aan die katapult, maar die slinger aksie wat die projektiel lanseer verskil. Waar 'n katapult potensiele energie opbou en vrylaat om die projektiel te lanseer, gebruik 'n trebuchet swaar gewigte om 'n hefboom aan te dryf.
