College basketball team / From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Rutgers women's basketball team represents Rutgers University and plays its home games at the Louis Brown Athletic Center. The Scarlet Knights have appeared in three Final Fours, in 1982, 2000, and 2007. In 1982, Rutgers won the AIAW Women's Basketball Tournament. In 2007, Rutgers advanced to the NCAA National Championship game before falling to Tennessee. They are currently coached by C. Vivian Stringer, a member of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
