"Adra is at the junction of railroads leading to important Indian cities (including Delhi, Mumbai and Kolkata)."
This statement is incorrect. As can be seen from IRCTC.co.in (search for trains between Adra and any metro), the only trains are slow passenger trains with connectivity to Calcutta. Adra is a goods hub but has bad connectivity for passenger traffic. The closest station on the main line is Tatanagar.
