Seán Brady KGCHS (born 16 August 1939) is an Irish cardinal of the Catholic Church. He was Primate of All Ireland and Archbishop of Armagh from 1996 until 2014, and was elevated to the rank of cardinal by Pope Benedict XVI in 2007. He left office in 2014 and was succeeded by Eamon Martin, who had served as Coadjutor Archbishop of Armagh since 2013.
