Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur[3] (French: [pʁɔvɑ̃s alp kot dazyʁ] ⓘ; lit. 'Provence-Alps-Azure-Coast';[lower-alpha 1] commonly shortened to PACA), also known as Région Sud ('Southern Region'), is one of the eighteen administrative regions of France, located at the far southeastern point of the mainland. Its prefecture and largest city is Marseille.
