Mohammad Said Yusof

Datuk Mohammad Said bin Yusof (15 September 1959 – 28 August 2023) was a Malaysian politician who served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Jasin from March 2004 to March 2008. He is a member of the United Malays National Organisation (UMNO), a component party of the Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition.
In this Malay name, there is no surname or family name. The name Yusof is a patronymic, and the person should be referred to by their given name, Mohammad Said. The word "bin" or "binti"/"binte" means 'son of' or 'daughter of', respectively.

After the dissolution of Parliament on 13 February 2008, Mohammad Said was dropped by BN as a candidate for the seat of Jasin in the 2008 general election, to be replaced by another UMNO-affiliated member, Ahmad Hamzah.
