Loulé ([lou̯ˈlɛ] ⓘ, locally [ɫoˈɫɛ]) is a city and municipality in the region of Algarve, district of Faro, Portugal.[1] In 2011, the population of the entire municipality was 70,622 inhabitants,[2] in an area of approximately 763.67 square kilometres (294.85 sq mi).[3] The municipality has two principal cities: Loulé (the seat of the municipality) and Quarteira.
