Summary
DescriptionThe Forge at The Wharf, Berriew - geograph.org.uk - 1483351.jpg |
English: The Forge at The Wharf, Berriew Workshop of William O'Brien, artist blacksmith www.wobrien.co.uk
The machine in front of the forge is an electric powered hammer operated by the foot lever below the anvil. I was told there had been a blacksmiths here for many years (William moved his business here in 2000) but I think this stone building was originally a canal-side warehouse. It is the left-hand building in this photo https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1482005 taken from the other side of the canal.
