I went to the Open Day at the Museum Collections Centre - 25 Dollman Street on the 13th of May 2012. At the Dollman Street Stores they have objects that are not currently on display in the Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery or Think Tank. Some items used to be in the old Museum of Science & Industry on Newhall Street. The garage area of the warehouse with old cars, motorbikes etc. Sinclair C5 Tricycle C1985 Built in 1985 by Hoover Washing Machines, in Merthyr Tydfil, Wales, this 12 volt electric vehicle was considered a novelty and unsafe by the majority of other motorists. It could be purchased from Woolworths for £399, plus £29 delivery and was capable of 15 miles an hour the max speed allowed without a licence. |
