Français : Dans cet insigne, un rectangle jonquille cassé aux angles, est représenté un losange vert avec à l'intérieur une croix de Lorraine jonquille et une étoile pleine à cinq branches.
On reconnaît au bas de l'insigne le sigle 3e B.D.P. L'insigne est cassé aux angles pour éviter les déchirures éven-tuelles qu'il pourrait provoquer. Le losange est la forme de la marque des véhicules de la cavalerie. La croix de Lorraine rappelle Lunéville et le palais Stanislas, siège des Ducs de Lorraine. L'étoile quant à elle, fut attribuée en 1929 aux cinq B.D.P. descendant des cinq premiers Régiments de Dragons. Quant aux couleurs, le vert est la couleur de tradition des Dragons, le blanc leur couleur distinctive et la jonquille la couleur des cyclistes. Il est à noter que cet insigne servit aussi au 3e R.D.P., sans qu'il y ait eu toutefois chan-gement des sigles, le temps ne suffisant plus. |
