DescriptionDiamond and graphite without structures.jpg |
English: Diamond :: Locality: South Africa (Locality at mindat.org) :: A superb, equant, incredibly sharp diamond crystal that looks naturally cut due to the rare macle-twinning. Rare in such size, in specimens! I have not been able to obtain a large macle like this in 2 years or so and the availability of raw uncut diamonds of such size is seemingly going down due to changes of price and infrastructure in the diamond market. MORE CLEAR IN PERSON! 3.28 carats, 1.2 x 1.2 x 0.15 cm
English: Graphite :: Locality: Old Beneis Farm, Marlborough, Cheshire County, New Hampshire, USA (Locality at mindat.org) :: Size: 5.6 x 3.8 x 1.8 cm. :: A large, solid mass of elemental carbon or graphite with the super, greasy/waxy feel and typical, sheet-like form. This splendent, steel-gray specimen is from a very uncommon New Hampshire locality - the old Beneis Farm, Marlborough, Cheshire County. Ex. Bob Whitmore Collection, a noted New England collector and field collector. Deutsch: Graphit :: Fundort: Old Beneis Farm, Marlborough, Cheshire County, New Hampshire, Vereinigte Staaten (Fundort bei mindat.org) :: Größe: 5.6 x 3.8 x 1.8 cm. |
