Kuçovë District
Defunct (2000) Albanian administrative area / From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Kuçovë District (Albanian: Rrethi i Kuçovës) was one of the 36 districts of Albania, which were dissolved in July 2000 and replaced by 12 counties. It had a population of 35,571 in 2001, and an area of 112 km2 (43 sq mi), making it the smallest district of Albania.[1] It was in the centre of the country, and its capital was the former municipality of Kuçovë (which in 2015 became a subunit of the larger municipality of the same name). Its territory is now part of Berat County — the Municipality of Kuçovë (partly).
