Deerfoot-Bad Meat

Not to be confused with Deerfoot.
Deerfoot-Bad Meat or Api-kai-ees meaning "scabby dried meat" or "bad meat" (born in 1864 in Siksika territory. Died in 1897 Calgary, Alberta District, North-West Territories).[1] He was a Siksika runner from Western Canada whose most noted achievement was winning the 1886 Calgary Star-Rink Endurance Race.[2]
