Candelária is a civil parish in the municipality of Ponta Delgada on the island of São Miguel in the Portuguese archipelago of the Azores. The population in 2011 was 1,079,[1] in an area of 8.63 km².[2] It is situated along the southwest flank of the Sete Cidades massif.
