The brigade was formed on the basis of the Ukrainian Volunteer Corps, the armed wing of Right Sector.[9] In April 2024, the Brigade was disbanded, mainly due the loss of territory in the defense of Chasiv Yar caused by preferential treatment given to Right Sector veterans and failure to reform the old volunteer battalion sctructure into a standard Ukrainian Armed Forces unit.[1][10]
