The election coincided with United States national elections and Missouri state elections, including U.S. Senate, U.S. House, Auditor, and Missouri House.[4][5]
Following the previous election in 2020, Republicans held a 24-to-10-seat supermajority over Democrats.[6] The balance of power remained unchanged with Republicans keeping their supermajority of 24-to-10 over Democrats.[7]
These were the first elections in Missouri following the 2020 United States redistricting cycle, which resulted in redrawn legislative district boundaries.[8][9]
