2019年1月30日，續作《昆蟲總動員2：來自遠方的後援》在法國先行上映[4]。
譯名
該系列的電視版在中國譯為《微觀小世界》，與法語Minuscule相近。在中國，皮克斯作品往往被冠以「總動員」的譯名。引進方為了商業化的考量而給該片冠以「總動員」之名。
