The Tasmanian Devil (Hugh Dawkins) is a fictional superhero appearing in DC Comics. A pacifist Australian metahuman able to turn into a giant aggressive Tasmanian Devil (as a werewolf would become a wolf), he first appeared in Super Friends #7 (October 1977), with his first canonical DC Universe appearance being in Infinity, Inc. #32 (November 1986). In Justice League Quarterly #8 (September 1992), he is revealed to be gay.[citation needed]
