San Diego Friars (1975–1978)

This article is about the tennis team that played in World Team Tennis from 1975 to 1978. For the tennis team that played in TeamTennis from 1981 through 1983, as the San Diego Friars and in 1984 and 1985, as the San Diego Buds, see San Diego Buds.
The San Diego Friars were an expansion franchise of World Team Tennis (WTT) founded in 1975. The Friars qualified for the WTT playoffs twice in their four seasons and won the 1978 Western Division Championship. The team folded following the 1978 season.
