Michael Tarrence Penix Jr. (PENN-iks /ˈpɛnɪks/; born May 8, 2000) is an American football quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Indiana Hoosiers for three seasons, before playing with the Washington Huskies for his final two seasons. Penix won the Maxwell Award in 2023 and led the Huskies to the 2024 College Football Playoff National Championship. He was selected by the Falcons eighth overall in the 2024 NFL draft.
