Summary
DescriptionNintendo-64-Console-BR.jpg |
English: The Nintendo 64 (N64), a fifth-generation video game console released by Nintendo in 1996. Built around a 64-bit processor and released much later than its rivals, the N64 was one of the most powerful fifth gen systems, but was hampered by its use of cartridges over CDs. The use of cartridges was a controversial move that alienated third-parties who preferred the cheaper and easier to manufacture CDs that other systems used. However, the system was a success, helped greatly by first-party titles like Mario 64 and the Legend of Zelda, leading to a second-place finish and over 30 million systems sold. |
