View eastward from a minor road bridge west of Lords Bridge: ex-LNW Cambridge - Bedford - Bletchley line, closed Cambridge - Bedford 1/1/68. Later in 1968 the University of Cambridge Mullard Radio Astronomy Observatory set up their Half-Mile Telescope, then in 1971 their Ryle Telescope, along this absolutely straight stretch of the trackbed |
